A network of tubular filaments that transport nutrients from the environment to fungi.
In an individualistic and capitalistic world, seeks to support small business owners by redefining how creatives can connect and thrive. Similar to mycelium networks, this project harnesses the power of individual engagement to build strong and equitable community networks.

In efforts to highlight and empower Seattle locals with gifts to share with all,
provides space and resources to get small businesses owners up and running. Just as mycelium threads interconnect to form vast underground networks, 's collection of modular shops allow owners to develop meaningful connections through intentionally interactive spatial and circulation design. Each modular shop featured at the site serves as a dedicated haven for aspiring entrepreneurs and passion project pursuers to showcase artistic products, culinary creations, and personal services, without the hindrances of having a traditional brick-and-mortar store.

SITE
Created from a forgotten hill between two abandoned warehouses, the project transforms a neglected space into a vibrant community hub.

Just like how mushrooms grow organically in their environment, the modular shops also grow organically throughout the site, breaching into the two surrounding warehouses. Open walkways and stairs are installed for an easy access route through the hill.

MODULAR SHOPS
The interior of each shop is thoughtfully arranged to provide a functional and flexible space for each of the three categories of businesses: Art, Service, and Food.
Every shop owner is provided with 3' x 7' mobile peg boards (additional provided upon request). These flexible pegboards allow for easy customization of space, whether storage, display, or decor is the driving purpose.
